Zahn Expo 2019: What to Expect

We are just a few days out from the 2019 Zahn Expo and we are so excited for you to get to West Palm Beach! Below is some helpful information so that you can get the most out of the 2-day event full of networking opportunities, educational sessions, hands-on demonstrations from our suppliers, and insightful keynote events.

 

Zahn Expo App:

Be sure to download the Zahn Expo official app to follow our schedule of keynotes and the sessions you registered for under our 4 educational tracks.

In either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for Crowd Compass Attendee Hub. Within the app, search for Zahn Expo and download. You can use the login your use during registration. Pro tip – allowing notifications will alert you of when and what room your scheduled course is taking place or if there are any announcements or changes, so you don’t miss a beat!

Attendee Tips:

  • Please wear your badge to all scheduled sessions, functions and meals. You will pick this up at registration when you get to the show.
  • Make sure you include your CDT number when registering so you get CE credit! There will be an opportunity to go back to the registration desk and add it if need be.
  • Wear comfortable shoes! You will be walking around a lot from room to room and in and out of the exhibit hall. This event is business casual. The indoor air conditioning might get cold, so it’s a good idea to pack a sweater.
  • Divide and conquer — if you come with any colleagues, coordinate your schedules to attend a variety of sessions so you can hit all the content you’re interested in! You can compare notes at the end and bring back an even larger wealth of knowledge and actionable items to your lab.
  • Bring your business cards for all those breaks on the agenda! You never know who you get to mingle and make connections with.
  • Be an influencer for the day! Be sure to use the hashtag #ZahnExpo2019 when live-tweeting, liking or posting photos and videos from the event – this is another great tool for networking. Post-event, we’d also love to hear about what you’ve learned! Using hashtags will ensure you share this knowledge with others.
  • Post-event you will want to share this new wealth of knowledge with the rest of your team – follow-up with them by leading an in-person meeting or sending out an email with the key takeaways.
  • Familiarize yourself with the conference space and set-up so that you don’t get lost or miss the beginning of any of your sessions! This minimizes the number of things you need to worry about during the conference itself like finding the nearest bathroom or where you can find food. You can find the layout in the official Zahn Expo app.
  • Bring a portable phone charger – if you’re taking notes on your phone, catching up on missed emails, or taking photos, it’s easy to kill those batteries! Other essentials: extra pens, a notepad, a power strip for your laptop, Chapstick, hand sanitizer, and small snacks for those moments in between breaks!
  • Set your out of office reply!

Hotel Directions:

From Palm Beach International Airport

Exit airport, make right. Take 95 North for one exit (Exit 70), make right and go approx. 1 mile and hotel is on right side just past convention center

Distance from Hotel: 3 mi.

Drive Time: 10 min.

Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International

Exit airport, take 95 North to exit 70, make right and go approx. 1 mile and hotel is on right side just past convention center.

Distance from Hotel: 35 mi.

Drive Time: 45 min.

If you are driving to the hotel, there is valet parking only for $20 per day.

 

Ground Transportation:

There is a complimentary shuttle service to/from the International West Palm Beach Airport and Hilton West Palm Beach, every day from 5:15am to 10:45pm.

Departing Airport: On the 00 and 30 of each hour

Departing Hotel: On the 15 and 45 of each hour

Locate the hotel shuttle by picking up outside of baggage claim at the center median outside.
